Great battle report. To comment onto the question whether to see more of the hyper competitive lists in the battle reports depends on the audience you are tailoring to. For me I have come to tabletop tactics as to be looking for what is transcribe into your title. That being “tactics” in the Warhammer 40k tabletop. Though I understand others are looking for more fluffy fun fights which allows you to see units that you don’t see in the hyper competitive lists. Very good game! In regards to your question whether to see more hyper competitive Battlereports (I hope this is a valid English sentence): I think once in a while it will be fun to watch, as long as a) it does not become the main focus and b) as long as you don’t go complete aaron-aelong-adepticon-deathstar-bonkers (no offence to him, but his style of “army” is imho more an attempt at breaking the game instead of playing it). Revenge! A good game there, undecided up until the last turn. I’d like to see your NWO list against the Ghosts, would make for an interesting rematch that, and whilst I agree that Tau can be a straight up hard coutner to DE with all thier Ignores Cover, I think LVO showed that being able to take on Craftworld Eldar as more important overall for the tournemant.

I think Tau are much more of a “hard counter” (not that Dark Eldar require a “hard counter,” especially with the fast skimmer FAQ “nerf”) for Dark Eldar than Craftworld Eldar would be, so Ben’s list might be a better practice match up for you than your Ghosts. Especially since a list like Ben’s is quite mobile for Tau.
