Love these Tempestus battlereports! They’re really an army you do not see everyday and inspires to to perhaps dust off my box of old Kasrkin to get back into the game, last played in fourth edition. Did have a few pointers though, why doesnt James use the Formation from the book? The Ground Assault formation would really help his force with the twin-linking and pinning, losing obsec is not so much of a blow when he’s not really moving a lot with them anyway, but gives them more flexibility. Could use the inquisitor as a stand-in for a commissar, perhaps?… Read more »

Nice Batrep!!! Even when MurderFang died in his first turn , with the draft FAQ Murderfang has now six attacks base.

Meltaguns AP1=+2 on the roll, plus 1 for open topped. Joe’s drop pod would be weapon destroyed.

Great Batrep, but you missed a critical rule: Suppressing Fussilade by the Skyhammer Devastators is always in effect, also on James’ turn 4, when the Wulfen were targeted by the grav gun. It could have made a huge difference, cause statistically they would have been forced to go to ground on 3D6 moral check. Also, like mentioned before, I would drop the Eviscerators and meltabombs on the assault squad and buy 5 more boltgun devastators for more combat squadding fussilade action. Keep on practicing James, you are getting better and better!
