Enjoyed the sigmar bat rep as always, quite behind with my viewing. Would definitely recommend reading disc world novels. I started with the guards guards book which I would recommend as a great starting point. Colour of magic is the first book in the series but in general is very hard to follow and off putting as a first read of the series ( I am not trying to insult the book, just that many have failed to get into the series due to reading it first). Side question are you guys following matched play rules in these battle reports… Read more »

Just remember you cannot move within 3 inches of an enemy model.

at 1:12:06: just like with super heavies in 40k, you have to declare how many attacks goes into which enemy unit, if you have multiple options 🙂

Love the Skaven army Rat-Beard, always did like the clan Eshin back in the day and the Rat Ogres look awesome, kudos! If you’re looking for a book recommendation then disc world novels are great but not if you’re looking for action/adventure, more satirical and with comical pokes at society. I’d demo give David Gemmel books a shot, any of the Drenai novels but Legend or any with Druss in it are right up your street I reckon. Very Conan esque if you ask me…CROM!!!

Terry Pratchett’s Discworld novels are great! I’m a big fan of all of them. even the movies they made about them were actually ok. start at the beginning The colour of Magic and work your way through the different stories.

Plague is wasted on heros. Notice that you roll a dice for every model in a unit, and on every 6 they suffer a mortal wound. Would have been much better against the plaguebearers.

Rule of One means you can’t cast Arcane Bolt twice in one round, or Mystic Shield. Note this rule applies even if you fail to cast (i.e. you can’t then re-attempt with a second wizard).

Also, careful with your pile in moves. You can only pile in towards the closest model, and you cannot pile in if you are in base to base.

Yes, I’d very highly suggest Terry Pratchett’s Discworld stuff. Primarily his Death series and Nightwatch/Sam Vimes series. The others are good, but those are the best, in my opinion.
