Point about daemonic ritual that isn’t frequently brought up, but you don’t actually nominate what you are summoning in first either. You roll up to 3 dice and compare the result. Sure Butchernails is kinda pointless on Berzerkers due to overkill, but it also makes assault bikers, or raptors or warp talons or even Mutilators (pfft) a more attractive option. Hell even regular CSM’s with flamer access or whatever will be slightly more scary having 3 attacks each (and the potential for piling in and attacking again with that strategem!). Now add that to the potential for Death to the… Read more »

In regards to the terrain at whw. They have stated that all the terrain is getting a revamp for the grand tournaments etc. (in a post on the heat 1 Facebook event) Everything is getting bases etc so the cover saves will be in effect as it will all count as area terrain.

Berserkers getting a second round of combat means you can pile in to another unit and attack them, as long as you declared the charge agaisnt that unit as part of a multi charge. The rules do not say you have to get to within an inch of all the units you declared a charge agaisnt and the rules say you can attack any unit you have charged. That makes the extra attack more useful.

Do you even arcane artifact bro?!?!?!?! Hilarious! Totally agree that the power fist > axe of blind fury. I would add that the axe hits your own mates when as a character you want him nearby to buff with the aura abilities all the time.

I love the Murder Sword.

Once I nearly lost Guilliman (down to 1W) due to a combination of a deep striking Jump Pack Chaos Lord, who got Warptimed close, used the Daemon Shell stratagem to (naturally!) knock 3 Wounds off him, then charged. He got 4 hits, 2 of which were 6’s, then the 2 extra attacks from DTTFE came up a 1 and a 4. Thankfully the re-roll To Hit also came up a 1…

Realllllly enjoyed this, a LOT of good information, a lot of valid points and concerns and some real cheeky combinations. I’m just going to voice how I’ve found my World Eaters so far in 8th ed (Disclaimer ; Locally we are not ultra competitive people. We all bring strong lists, but we do not bring the tip of the iceberg and in no way am I claiming what I say is fact, more airing what I’ve found my self through my own games so far). Let’s start with Legion Trait – completely appreciate what you guys are saying about Khorne… Read more »

Cool tactica, I am looking forward to the next installment with the units and lists! Come to think of it, there was a lot less salt and ranting this time around, that was too bad. Maybe you should put some pints in those non-descript plastic glasses you were drinking from in the beginning 😉 and please still add the adapted Night Lords list you were talking about.
