Ouch! The second I saw the seize I had a horrible feeling about how that was going to end haha.
Lovely painted models, Sanga! Really great job!

unlucky Sanga you were really unlucky with so many of your rolls the dice gods where not with you at all! Be nice to see a dirty list from the Sanga 😉

Fantastic content as always but guys, when are we going to see a balanced game (lol), v8 quite responsible with how over-powering getting first turn is. Still it’s pretty much always Lawrence ravaging whatever list is against him, and man did he roll those 5++ saves!

Dear Sanga, I hope this finds you well, as a fellow Aussie and Long time BA player, (2nd ed) please, please, for the love of our father and his father our Emperor, please try to have a better showing.. I know you are trying, truly but you are failing no offence mate, sorry if I am to harsh, I do apologise .. now about your army in this Batrep. Did you know if all your foot models die, after the first battle round, you lose the game no matter how many storm ravens you have. So in the above when… Read more »

Love seeing the Blood Angles again. Keep working on those rules and Tactics Sanga, you’ll get there. Heavy flame devastators dropping out of stormravens?

As a Nid player myself, hive guard are definitely better then exocrines. People don’t take into account how easy it is to hide the hive guard. Any army with decent firepower is gonna kill a crine after 1-2 turns of fire. If you arn’t going first thats only 1 round of shots 🙁 2 units of hive guard have roughly the same firepower as 1 exocrine but they will stick around the entire game if you hide them correctly! Over the course of a 5+ turn game you definitely get more bang for your buck out of hive guard for… Read more »

The Swarmlord has 12 wounds, was he really down to 9 when that dreadnought charged him? I only remembered the one wound from the heavy flamer…? He was probably dead anyways though. 🙂

just a point, you could have heroically intervened(?) with the broodlord into the librarian to get another round of combat off with the dreadnought.

When rolling for models inside a destroyed vehicle, shouldn’t you just roll a dice for all of the models at the same time and then choose possible slain models? For the first destroyed Storm Raven you rolled separately for the dreadnought and the squad, that was incorrect – right? I haven’t played 8th ed yet, so trying to make sure I’ve understood the rules right. 🙂

i think rob should have charged his death company and lemates at the stealers and the pod as well as the tyrant in turn 2. Plus the stealers don’t become damage 2 in combat unless you roll a 6 so there was a few times where there would be termies alive

Epic report! Having played genestealers a couple times they are definitely better in larger broods (w/ Broodlord). Their attack potential is scary! I find they also escape becoming a priority target in the early game because there are usually other (larger) tastey targets to distract the opponent. I have done this with a similar flyrant/swarmlord combination, but probably enjoyed it more in another game when I used mawlocs and other larger units that forced pressure deep in enemy lines.
As a new Nid player I’m learning lots from The Spider! Keep it up guys. Cheers from Northern Alberta, Canada.

So happy to see Hive Guard! I realize the codex has to drop but I agree totally I think they trump Exocrine. My buddy play the bugs and I convinced him to abandon Exocrine spam and he is killing it with the additions of the Hive guard. Great report. So glad I joined the online on demand service

Sanga, I don’t know if you’re aware of this as you are still new to 40k, but after you kill a unit in close combat you can consolidate into the cloest enemy unit (Provided the are up to 3″ away) to “tie them up” so to speak, there were a couple of occasions that you could of done this with your death company and dreadnought on your left flank.

Just a thought Lawrence. I know everyone, including me, wants you to play your hardest, and to not purposely do things you normally wouldn’t do – BUT, you’re playing against a newer player who doesn’t have half your experience; he appears to be unfamiliar with competitive tactics, and he’s brought a fun, non-competitive list, that is also extremely elite with a very low model count, and as such, basically no margin for error. Do you think, just maybe, opting to not go so hard on seizing the initiative might have made for a more sporting game? I’m pretty sure any… Read more »

Also wanted to add something about the hive tyrants. Their only option in my book is with talons. The shootie Tyrant is a no go. I personaly love the modeI and I realy hope they bring The Hive Tyrant down a wound in the codex. Then it would be more interesting to take, The Tyranids realy need one more HQ with the abillity to hide. Would open up for some cool lists with Tyrants and gargoyles maybe?

Great game guys! Sanger (spelling?), try equiping the Death Company with chainswords and bolters and use them to focus on chaff and units. Giving them Thunder Hammers and Power fists is just too expensive. Our dreadnoughts are designed to take out big nasties as you saw when you one shot the swarmlord. I’m currently have two lists I’m building for my Flesh Tearers. First one has two groups of two 5 man devastator squads with four Heavy Flamers each then backing them up with a Death Company Dreadnought, librarian and priest in a stormraven. So two of those. Then my… Read more »

Great game but I hate to say this, that BA list is just not very good, it doesn’t have enough models for board control and is very unforgiving. And adding another stormraven is definitely not the answer.
I think it needs to be a tad more basic, drop the sr’s and add some troops, razorbacks/preds regular captains etc. Unfortunately assault Marines are weak compared to other options in 8th.

Laughed so hard at the sieze animation!! Top game! Im having my main army for 8th beeing Tyranids. I think its a good index with lots of fun and good units altough im finding the units to pricey to be realy competetive. I realy hope they get a fun codex that mekes em a little more competetive against hard chaos, IG and SM lists. Liked the Tyranid list. All good units 🙂 Btw how did you paint the wings on the hive tyrants?

Good bat rep. Poor Sanger just needs a bit more experience as he had a chance if not for some tactical errors like not charging the broodlord with his Libby dread to nerf the stealers.

i damn near spit my food out with the seized initiative!! love it guys!

As a BA player, I’m having a lot of luck running two jump assault units with two melta one pas pistol – deepstrike with either a jump captain or Dante for a fairly heavy punch that can’t be targeted first turn. Ravens also really need either a captain or Dante to make them more reliable in shooting. Having said that, still loving watching the sanga build his game – and the bat reps are by far the best quality I’ve seen out there – keep it up!

Boss game, guys! I agree, the Blood Angels are lacking a bit as a Chapter, but in this game in particular that seize really hurt! Sorry Sanga! Still, that Tyranid list is pretty nasty! It would have been a tough fight either way.

Not sure what you thought the Advance card was but it says you have to move everything out of your deployment to score it, which you didn’t do. I know it’s hard to remember everything, but maybe try to read the card anyway? Other than that great batrep, really enjoyed it.

Love the Sanga bring out his beautifully painted blood angels in this video. I don’t suppose there is a way for me to discuss blood angel tactics with the Sanga, is there?

Oh look Lemartes failing a charge again haha. Sanga, I know you love him, but this is not a healthy relationship. You need to think about you too!

Good game. I was thinking…you guys should get in on some 2v2 3500pts (1750 each) battles with the new codexes. Like Khorne or Iron WarriorsDeathguard vs GKAd Mech or Guard or BobbyG. Would be epic 🙂

Scary bugs! Very entertaining br as always 🙂 I agree that BA are not great compared to SM with codexes, but damn Tau are still strong in my humble opinion. They just work differently than in 7th (and thats a good thing!) A Tau “horde army” (with 40-60 fire warriors and 30 gun drones along with support characters, a good amount of pathfinders, fusion commanders + w/e you fancy as heavy support) is actually hard to deal with. The fire power these little blue guys and their pet flying saucers can pack when synergized with pulse drones,ML, fireblades and darksrider… Read more »

Excited to see the new nid dex, if Mawlocs don’t get a pts hike I’m getting 3, they’re really underrated, I don’t think people realise just how much pressure a 12 wound beastie with a 3+ put on an opponent even if it’s damage output isn’t amazing. Saying that mortal wounds on a 2+ is nothing to sniff at and they’re a good counter to people trying to screen as they just have to be outside of 1″ so if the base fits they’re in there, or your opponent has to castle very tightly and once your opponent is playing… Read more »

Hey guys another great BR so many vids I can’t wait to see! I’m looking forward to the next campaign, the next tau build, and even the D&D vids. Some other content creators seem to get a bit boring towards the end, but you guys keep it fun! P.s how often do you guys do list analysis? I saw a really interesting list the other day but it has no comments! It’s mine ?

Guys two questions: Hyve Guard shooting with no LOS is OK, but then again, it does not say they ignore cover, do they? The raven is clearly 50% obscured from the second unit, shouldn’t it have a +1 to armor?

Also, I think that you roll a die for each model within the transport when it blows up, it’s not per unit

Killing Synaspe is key. If you can not get rid of it the weight of numbers is too much I find.

Looking at 60 Genestealers? Is that a hint at a GSC army appearing from the shadows on the channel soon?

Bugger on the seize!i Given Sanga is looking at the list again I will offer from thoughts. Caveat here is that, Blood Angels have been my primary army for the last year or so. I do pretty well with them but agree with Lawrence they they (like many Index lists) with struggle against the Codex armies. That said in looking at the list again I would think about a few things. Firstly, in the last few battle reports I have noticed that Sanga has suffered from the lack of rerolls. Chaplains (/Lemates) are good but, in my view, Captains or… Read more »
