Blade of power totally a thing. Vastly superior to fist of power. Karate style, the way of the open hand.

Hey guys. Are you able to add the ability to change the playback speed? Or allow us to download the videos so we can run it on our own players?

Love the batrep, big GK guy here. I just need moar speeedd!

Wow, I really enjoyed watching this game. You guys had me cracking up with the constant silly banter. Just the way the game should always be played in my opinion. Thanks for showcasing the new mission and Chapter Approved rules. I really like what I’m seeing. Bone, I think the Toga dice decided to betray you this game. You couldn’t get a decent roll to save your necron life ! lol. Thanks again guys!

BONE! You predicted this!
“Discordant Disruption: Enemy pskers that attempt to manifest a pyschic power whilst they are within 24” of any models with this ability will suffer Perils of the Warp if their psychic test includes any doubles”

Could anything more have been done? Well, yes I feel the Necrons could of positioned the Cryptek and/or troops better to get more reanimations and 5++ saves at times. I believe if you are out of range of the cryptek you can even slow roll RP and place models back to help get within range of th Technomancer and thus improve the RP roll for the balance. Very similar to rolling markerlights 1 at a time to gt the reroll 1’s for the balance of unit. Overall a good game. Obviously this mission Null Zone didn’t really impact anything this… Read more »

Blade of power should always be palm up, to avoid confusion. But don’t get rid of it… it seems to bug the spider. Haha
Thanks for showing off the stalker, always loved that model and no it doesn’t come with base.
If anyone could just come up with legitimate feasibility with lychguard (warsythe build) my life, and Anrakyr’s life would be complete.

Think you might be forgetting your First to the Fray re-rolls at some points there Lawrence… Great game though!!

I was at warhammer world the other day and I saw Bone. I came so very close to shouting your name and throwing up a blade of power. But… then I stopped. And I thought to myself how it would look to others if I threw that particular salute across a crowded room. Instead i went back to my overly sized burger and kept my head down.

In stitches watching this. XD

Fun replay. Praets have an interesting +1 to hit strat for shooting and CC. Others have mentioned the lack of synergy of Praets with the other dynasties – so frustrating the line of “Triach” units that don’t work with the rest of the Codex.

Bone was channeling Beard, just not when he wanted. Such is the power of Beard.

Thanks for the game guys, this game was tough to watch though. The necrons basically played NPC in this Saturdays episode of space marines lol. Sure that GK list may not have been the best you can manage but holy crap that Necron army was awful. No plan or synergy in it. Just toss some models out to get killed. Night Scythes are arguably the worst unit in the game. Really would have liked to see a stronger Necron army. Very grateful of the game, just a bit salty to see the necrons get the raw deal ion this one.… Read more »

Some grey knights list with only terminators please.

I was laughing every time Lawrence was thinking he couldn’t win. GKs are stupid with all their Smite Hell. Very very happy though to see some different choices in the lists: – Lawrence made a list without DKs. – SO glad to see Dreadnoughts with CC weapons. You made me happy – Bone went with fliers, Praetorians and a Stalker. I still don’t see the hype about Destroyers. Not that they aren’t good, but to see them as auto include? Would have like a screen of Warriors for the Stalker though. That flank was screaming for Lawrence to drop in.… Read more »

I feel like Grey Knights smite should be d3 on a roll of 11+. Wouldn’t be OP but would give a little more punch. I’d also happily sacrifice the double smite buff on brother captain for an 18″ range but can’t see that happening.

When you get paladins/terminators could you try some apothecaries. They are beasts with hammers. 3+ hits and 4 attacks and bring back some expensive terminators. 🙂

I believe the codex specifies that reanimation caps at 4+

couple thoughts on necrons.
Mephrit should only be run with tesla.
Nihilak might be the strongest dynasty.

Monolith 320 points
Stormraven 311 points
When is GW gonna realize how bad the monolith is?
Necrons are now the worst army, imo

The face you make when Lawrence explains how horrific the list he’s about to play you with is.

I’ve had my necrons since I was 10 years old…. have been bummed out with their 8th edition performance. Seeing this posted so soon has made my day, TTT you guys are *absolute bosses*

Thank you for the hard work! I hope to see more Waaaghhing fun things!

Hmm, I kinda agree with the comment about Praetorian’s covenant weapon should at least be multi damage, but it can shoot as well so… I dunno? Is it a pistol weapon?

So I loved this game. It was so much better than the dg vs sob. It seemed to go back forth and showed playing the mission can win you the game. That being said I would love to see a tactica to enthesis how this will change knights 🙂

Awesome game guys!! Top notch banter, top notch playing!
Love the new mission and no sudden death. Really makes it more interesting until the very end. Looking forward to seeing more of them.

Great vid guys I hate to say it but unfortunately you cant use the night scythes with the preatorians as the lack the dynasty keyword. They miss out on soo much because of this and I think it is an oversight by gw its the same with some of the special characters

Drago, knocking back some Flaming Moes with the lads.

Upon returning to the tomb world Sekhmet-Ra was quite disappointed (decapitating few subordinates – well who care: they can be restored any way). Is all because he thinks his forces got the artefact they were searching for… but that was fake one… the distraction for the real one hidden in the plain view…

Excellent report! It is much more 6s from Mr. Bone.

How can the Praetorians appear within 9″ of enemy models?

Great game! Do the chapter approved setup rules apply to all 40k games, or just the missions from CA?

The mission does benefit horde armies. But at least the null field stops plague bearers getting their invunurable.

Does make it harder for those elite armies though in turn….

As a Grey Knight player myself, I am looking forward to the points drops. I cant wait to bring more awesome units to the table. I know a lot of factions got points drops as well, but we get to field a few different (& more) options now!

I think ultimately data sheet changes will be our saviour. And i only see these turning up in new Codex.

hey spiiiider u gotta remember psychic foooocus 🙂 – smite’s casting power goes up 1 every time u use it in the psychic phase .. or do grey knights ignore that?

Martijn Poot

About bone doing things differently: – Don’t seize in this mission. I think in this mission being the second player is ridiculously strong, and it serves the necrons better. They don’t have long range guns, and the other army has to move forward to claim some points. – A bit better deployment of the destroyers. I think put the cryptek in the middle of them, it’s nice on the immortals if they come back, but they aren’t an alfa-target most of the times You did what you could when they were in line of sight, though. I think I would’ve… Read more »

Deepstrike relies on unit count and points now right? It is not related to Power Level since BF2?

This battle report had me laughing. Chapter Approved seems to have delivered, this report was fun, and I can cope with a bit of a slow speed until you bosh the servers into grotty gear.

You have done well…

I think if he had taken a large warrior squad, in place of one of the praetorian squads, to screen out the grey knights from assaulting via deepstrike on ALL sides in turn 2. It would have been not that hard to win.

Love all the bat reps guys just wondering if you will ever get a Seraptek Heavy Construct for Necrons I’d love to see what that awesome unit can do.

DMvdH

Im so pumped for my necrons! CA just gives so much more options.. my list for the heat finals dropped a massive 235 points.. time to put that clan back in!

One question on dropping the praetorians from reserve. Hasn’t it been faq’d that the flyers count as transport and as such can deploy turn 1? Could have given Bone some options as to removing those knights in that building. Though I see the merit in holding both unit back to deliver a punch.

Thanks for doing a necron report so soon guys!

Not sure about this because it was pretty tight, but in the final combat between the Praetorians, Immortals and the Grey Knights, when Mr Bone removed the Praetorians, he should’ve removed those closest to Drago. That way, the Spider would’ve had to pile into the immortals with Drago, leaving the Praetorian(s) possibly out of melee range resulting in him not being able to split the attacks, opening you up for re-animation protocols etc.

Either way, awesome game! Looking forward to the next one ^_^

Is it just a grey knight thing that lets them run twin laz and twin auto? In the Dark angel codex you can only change the combat weapon with missile launcher.

Quick question on Bone rolling the Reanimation rolls to get into range of the Overlord / Cryptek:

Is there any reason he couldn’t have rolled the Rean rolls one at a time to get in range of the Cryptek, then once he had a model within 3” roll the rest of the squad at +1 to spread towards the Overlord for the Orb?

Bit like how Tau fire their Markerlights one at a time for their reroll 1’s buff before using the rest of the units Markerlights.

I love you guys. The blade of power can go though.

Spider forgot that he had a First to the Fray WT and just didn’t reroll the charge on that paladin ancient.

And it seems to me you have entirely forgotten about the null field. As to me it looks like Voldus wouldn’t have had an invun
