No one likes “gotcha” moments. Good call

I’m a pretty casual player but I ALWAYS let my opponents know about my plague marines + putrifier + blight bombardment + HoTLW strategy. Otherwise I’d just feel nasty saying “Okay, now I get 9x D6 shots and 5s are mortal wounds.” lol.

Nice call on the Sportsmanship gentlemen. It is just a game.

I find it very refreshing, that you mention a certain “code of conduct” here. One thing that has always put me off from competitive Warhammer is rumors of unsportsmanlike behaviour. Might just be my local meta though. In my opinion a good attitude, the ability to both win and lose without becoming a nuisance to the opponent and the ability to laugh about own mistakes or the dice rolls are the most important parts of being a good opponent. And this game needs it, as it can really be frustrating from time to time. So this can’t be said often… Read more »

I want to know what’s in Bone’s head at the beginning of that video!!

Guys. I have to disagree with this, I think that you need to distinguish between the format of the games when it comes to this topic. I would not expect my opponent to reveal any details about his force unless I ask specifically, but even then its MY job to “recon” those armies I expect to face. Watching and reading are fine, but it’s more useful to play against as many of these different armies as possible at a reasonable standard; before getting to a tournament.

I have found that Recon is harder in 8th than previous editions, because of stratagems.
At least before I could in a pinch just read my opponents unit rules, and formation, but now there are all the stratagems to consider.

Thousand Sons off topic.
Dear Sirs and Madams, since forum is still on it’s way to awesomeness I have to ask here. What is the best load out for Tzangorn Enlightened – bows or spears? I have a feeling that bows are incredible with a chance of move back and shoot. But I really hate to lose D2 for Spears on the charge…
And is it optimal to max the unit up to 9? Or this unit deserves points to be runned in 6+6 packs?
Thank you in advance!
