Quick question how come little foot didnt have his combat phase? Is the -1 to hit also in combat and thats why you didnt or was it an oversight. Great report as always

Yay Bone is back! Hope you had a great holiday. Thanks for the awesome game 🙂

Mirror of Minds is a straight roll off. It has nothing to do with Leadership, so Bone might have beaten some of those rolls. You should try Shards of Light it works well with the grenade launcher on the Shadowseer as it gives minus one leadership. I use to on tanks as they often have low leadership. Good game I enjoyed it.

Bone didn’t score Hold The Line. You need to have none of your opponents force in your deployment zone to score it.

Names need to be clever and simple.

I have named my demon prince D’Glavion Ferratorum. I call him Doug the Demon Prince.

Great fun to watch! 😀
Could you possibly break down this deploment from both of you in a Tactica Video?
Bone’s double castle / evasive deployment looked good, but the supreme mobility of the Harlequins made it possible for Spyder to deal with half of Bone’s army first, and then the other half.
Could Bone have avoided that in any way? And if so, how?

*Sigh* second games from you guys I skipped through after the first round. First one whas bone against beard, where the haywire bikes nuked the Knight, second is this one. Dont get me wrong, the batrep was still topnotch, but after Lawrences first turn (and his usual luck) I knew where this was going. I know it happens and its not your fault, but still. Was still happy to see bone again…to be honest you picked the wrong army…In my heart you will forever be a Harlequin <3

Love the team since game 1 back in 7th Ed, I have been on and off from 40k but the entertainment value from you guys is golden, also promotes the hobby in a genuine way. Would love to play you guys some day in the not so distant future. Take care:)

1) Mr. Bone, that is an excellent tanning. Glad to have you back.
2) Mr. Bone, what kind of insult did you inflict on the dice gods?

Bone you should look into the IG strategem “Defensive Gunners” for 1CP you hit your overwatch on 5’s! A friend of mine plays IG and has ruined my best laid plans on multiple occasions with this rule!

Great for when your fighting a charge heavy army like this!

Great games guys, as usual. Most of us have seen what the Guard can do, but it was nice seeing the Harlequins be so dangerous. That first turn was spectacular, even if it was a bit lucky on the rolls. Very nice. Gives me hope that I can play with my clowns again someday. One point, that may have already been mentioned, is that Guard special weapon squads have a minimum of 6 guys not 3. Three with special weapons and three armed normal. Maybe representing spotters or ammo runners. Still, good game.

Stop complaining Lawrence, you brought those nasty haywire, you re going to do mince beef with this nasty super heavy 😉
EDIT: @25min Aaaannnd that’s it, lawrence any comments ? 🙂
@The B Bone : Bit of a waste of those special weapon squad – almost sure to be killed next turn through troups / star weavers, would have been better off to shoot at them

Just saw that you all are moving and more people are going full time. This excites me. Thank you for creating amazing content and keeping up with everything as you do. I have been around since 7th edition. I was happy when it was at least one video a week. You all are so incredible to keep up as well as you do. Keep it up you are all doing great. Very excited to see you get to the point where you’re putting on tournaments and stuff like that. Great showing today. Good luck at LVO.

Excellent work guys. I’m with Bone on the deployment decision – i think with one castle it would have been too easy to tie up multiple tanks with the bikes, so getting as much distance between him and the Quins was the way to go to allow as much shooting as possible…before the inevitable crunch…

Would there be any logic in assigning armies to the different content prividers. Expecting anyone to renemremthe rules of all if the studio armies is unrealistic. I myself have 2 guard armies, Tau and Dark Angels and if I have a break from any of them for a few months my games take longer and make rules errors and iv been playing those armies with 20 years. Just feel bad for you guys and the standards people hold ye too in the comments sometimes.

Laurence, when you charged little foot were any of your bikes within 1 inch of the guards because they look pretty close.

Also if you already disembarked the troupe master with starmist raiment you could have just ignored those hellhounds and just charged them with TM to effectively shut them down for a turn. Instead you have lost not only troupe master but dealt a few turns of guards shooting worth of damage to 2/3 of you army… again WHY?

It was almost like you wanted to give guard a chance to make it not a clean sweep….

I feel like there were plenty of strategems the tallarn could have used to mitigate the bad luck. And the whole instance of “I can’t shoot with the tallarn unit because it advanced” made me laugh because… that is there doctrine. But such a great video nonetheless! You guys are so funny

Viktor
Guest

WHY DID YOU DISEMBARK? WHY? You can shoot your pistols from inside of the transport even after advancing! Disembarking in front of Hellhounds is very dumb in the first place and than you throw out of the window not only the benefit of your open-topped transport but the reason why you took Soaring Spite, Its like forgetting you are World Eaters and just don’t charge. It was such a glaring mistake I just cannot let it slide, especially considering it was you, Lawrence…

Hi lawrence – you are playing mirror of minds incorrectly, leadership has no bearing its a straight roll off with you gaining the benefit of the draw

Viktor
Guest
Viktor

Also could you use some Masque form other than Soaring Spite, cuz while it is one of the most self sufficient forms it is pretty bland after a few battreps

Correct me if I’m wrong but Mirror of Minds doesn’t add the leadership, it’s just a d6 roll off that you keep doing until the opponent beats you.

Don’t forget about the defensive gunners strategem. 1 CP for a guard vehicle to overwatch on 5s. That’s as good as you’re hitting some of them in your own shooting phase.

Quinn’s literally one of the worst match ups for guard. Not sure why Lawrence thought he was in trouble. -1 to hit and haywire along with the mobility is how you beat guard.

Welcome back Bone! When will you give the Wolves some time on the channel? Maybe against Orks or your T’au to give Beard the opportunity to have a game with his old army?
As always very entertaining game to watch! 🙂

Gentleman, a question that’s been bugging the bejeebus outta me since I started seeing them on the tabletop: where the heck did you fellas find those trees and ground sections to stand them on? I cannot find anything online or in my local gaming stores that fits what you guys have, and my buddies and I are dying to get something identical for our own grasslands map we use. Trees we can find aplenty, but the forest ground stands for them are completely eluding me.

Nice batrep, but I honestly think people always are intimidated by the amount of guard on the table. But the fact that they are removed buckets at the time isn’t often mentionned. Specialist armies with low volume of shots do have a problem, but the Harlequins don’t have this problem and the extra -1 to hit on alot of their untis is quite detremental to guard. Most of their power is in their tanks, but once they are assaulted they become a waste of space. The Hellhounds did the most damage all game by simply blowing up! @Bone: Special weapon… Read more »

Excellent bat report. Always love seeing this dangerously, fun duo go at it!

I know time constraints are definitely a thing, but it would still be awesome to see a full Tabletop Tactics Kill Team campaign sometime especially with the new updates and what not coming out for it!

You should really drill holes in all the weapon’s barrels. The ones without the hole just look so weird.
I feel like it doesn’t take much effort but makes a lot of difference.
Would just assure that your topnotch armies look even more topnotch 😉
Keep up the great work!

Great report, thank you! 3 things I would like to mention;) In 8th edition Mirror of Minds is indeed pure roll off without leadership. With LD was the thing of 7th (have both codex right in front of me). You may want at some point try using troupe master and Great Harlequin to get reroll hits and wounds in fight phase on bikes as well as it works for units. You really need those 12 bikes 😀 Other than that I had a ton of fun! I would like once to see Tactica with Harlies where you would ally some… Read more »
