I’m not sure if this has been asked and answered already but when Bone used smite in his second turn he rerolled the 1 he hot to super smite (using Magnus aura ability) he then rolled a 1 for damage, he read out the power and said “can rerole any 1’s as platt of the psychic phase. Bone used a CP to rerole the 1 for damage, would he not have been able to used Magnus ability again as it’s still part of a psychic attack?

The disks give the sorcerers the daemon keyword… so the GK smites would be doing 3 damage to them instead of one

That was a great game guy! I play against Grey Knights a lot and I’m about to Start collecting Thousand Sons. Not sure you guys are going to read this as I’m quite far behind in watching your videos, but here’s some stuff about Thousand Sons. For starters the Exalted Sorcerer on Disk gains the Deamon keyword so Grey Knight Smite loves them. In this game it would have meant Lawrence would have killed all 3 of them much sooner, but it didn’t matter anyway. Also, Tzaangors don’t have the Deamon keyword because they are not from the warp. Orks for Bone

I want to see Bone play Nidzilla or Orks, but I think Nidzilla is much easier to collect.

Great game fellas, I feel like Bone lost because Lawrence got to his head. Seems like every time he is in the lead, Lawrence tells him how well he is doing and that the game is his and he starts playing a bit sloppy lol. I feel like if Bone can learn to keep his head in the mid game he will be very scary as an opponent. I find I tend to make my big mistakes mid game as well, it’s easy when your up to do a sloppy move.

I thought tzangors reroll wounds against characters because they hunt relics? Maybe it’s hits, don’t play them but remember there was something.

You need to let Bone win sometimes or he’ll stop playing with you.

Well done to you both!

Bone always has to weather the bad luck. I really like the wrap ups at the end, but I think sometimes poor Bone is put in a position where he has to be really self critical. I’d be scared to face Bone on the tabletop – and not just because of his dancing…

Great report, not that interested in either of these armies but it was a really good watch! Credit to you both 🙂

I’m not sure if this has been asked before, but would you guys be willing to put your lists in text form? I know you go over the lists before the game. I just like seeing them in text form. Keep up the fantastic work.

Are the Goatmen what’s left of one of the two lost Legions…?

Also, Lawrence, you haven’t lived until you’ve cast Gate of Infinity in a Land Raider full of Paladins – do it quick before GW takes that away from us too!

Thanks guys for that great report. I was excited about seeing the TS win that time and take their revenge from previous match up… but no haha. A couple of comments: @Bone: thanks for representing the thousand sons! It’s a tough one to master. I agree with other comments about fire frenzy and prescience for dreads, and the +2 to psychic test stratagem. I always use it on critical spells, typically a warptime. Additional ideas: – give tzeentch firestorm and infernal gaze to aspiring sorcerers. this way even them can unleash many MW instead of mini smites. They can also… Read more »

It’s not true that you always lose Ben, you beat me round one at LGT a little over 12 months ago.
That rematch is long overdue…

Exciting game guys!! Always super stoked to see the Grey Knights in action, being a long-time fan since the old Daemonhunter days, and am currently building up my own force for 8th edition. Would be cool to see some Interceptors used in conjunction with those Paladins, I feel the added early game pressure could do nicely. Definitely a mistake there B-Bone, but granted you kind of had to go for those points anyways. A little luckier on your half and Magnus might have taken out a couple of characters on that last turn as well, kind of evening up the… Read more »

Really enjoyable battle report as always. Probably be mentioned but all the stuff on discs gets the demon keyword I think. And I know the shaman has it.so flat 3 on them. Some incredible roles there towards the end. Just love my On Demand subscription👏

tzaangors are apparently beastmen, rather than daemons. Saying that, no way should they get votlw

Game was like a rollercoaster! Very fun to watch, Keep your head up Bbone, played super well and tight right until the end! Nigel bigtoof is calling you to come on home. That said….. WE ARE THE HAMMER super good to see them pull out a cheeky win.

I feel you Bone, when I lose primarily because of bad decisions paired with some horrid dice rolls it just feels extra heavy. Just annoyed with myself more than anything. When it starts going bad, I make even more bad decisions.

Good to see the Grey Knights perform well. And I like the list. I’ll be running a new list this weekend, myself. They performed well here against an enemy psyker army (that +1 to cast is very good), but imagine the difference if the characters alone just had D3 smite.

I also enjoyed seeing Truesilver Armor in play!

Once again, great stuff. Well worth the price of admission. Cheer up, Bone. You were playing a complicated army with a lot of moving parts against an extremely skilled player. Don’t be too hard on yourself. As a Thousand Sons player since Index Astartes, I can say they are an odd faction that takes a lot of practice. Finally 2 things: 1. Rubric Phalanx when? 2. Why are we still not seeing Gaze of Fate or Chaos Familiar being used? One is a free reroll of any dice roll later in the turn (must be the whole roll) and the… Read more »

Wow great game It was s nail biter. I was on the edge of my seat. Love it when you 2 go head to head. Bone you had him.

GingerKidd

Excuse me Lawrence, but you sir, are incorrect!! Magnus is NOT the most powerful primarch. That title belongs to the one and only, the mighty, the unkillable Vulkan! Primarch of the Salamanders! Magnus and Russ can both just have a seat!

Oh how my heart hurt for Bone in this one. One mistake cost you the game but chin up! Spider was on point with his closing comments. Ben you are really improving as a player and the proof is in the pudding. To quote an old advert: you’ve come a long way baby!

Mis played those Helbrutes BADLY… park them in range and plop prescience on one, fire frenzy and for god sakes put a missle laucher on them. Now you have 4 S9 -3 , 2 S8 -2 all doing d6 dmg hitting on 2s rerolling 1s… this kills a dreadknight, why on EARTH are you making yourself hit on 4s?! Honestly lost you the game.

Wow, this game played exactly like the novels, a Grey Knight victory, but at what cost?
Loved this Battle Report guys! My heart broke a little watching Magnus just annihilate those Paladins!!!!!

I am the Hammer,

I am the edge of His Sword,

I am the tip of His Spear,

Let us speak His Word as He fuels the Fire of Devotion,

Let us fight His Battles, as He fights the Battle at the end of time,

And let us join Him there, for Duty ends not in Death,

In Vengeance be true, In Valour be Strong,

I am the soldier at the End of Time.

Guys, guys, seriously…. Get your lore straight! Tzaangors are NOT Daemons, they are Beastmen*! That is why they do not have the Daemon keyword…

*Or Beasts of Chaos, depending on the edition of Warhammer Fantasy, they kept switching the name of the army…

Buuurn the Daemons!!
Good job Lawrence, wonderful game!!
I love this video!
Now I wonna try this GK list !! 😀

And next step is to make a list with deathwatch and GK paladins!

Thanks for your videos, they are all amazing!! I watch them in every free time of my day, when I wake up making breakfast, during the launch, when I make a stop during the work, and when I’m in bed before to sleep! ahahah

When do we see Drukhari against the Obsidian Dragons or Deathwatch? Great to see you guys pumping out so much battlereps recently! Renewed my membership and cannot say I regret a single day since the first year! So much entertainment and stuff to learn. Even though! Fenris should never fall to the dark gods :D. The idea of the “longships” fleet sounds interesting but due to the fact that the wolves only recruit from Fenris itself would cripple them so hard. They would only be more like a dying legion. Also it was Bjorn in the Battle of the Fang… Read more »

How is Spider not working for GW writing fluff. That Fenris idea is so much cooler than the way the lore did go.
The ‘good’ guys are so much more epic if they lose horribly from time to time and are fighting against greater odds. The ‘bad’ guy are cooler if they aren’t just dominos for the good guys to knock over repeatedly.

Awesome game guys. yeah when bone left all those marines in the back line it broke me a little. You so had it man. oh well sometimes when i see a “win” coming its when i make my biggest mistakes too. I agree with Laurence on your progression bone you’re getting really good. Anybody that can go to tournaments and win more than they lose is doing good. Keep it up!

magnus fought against bjorn and 4 other space wolves after destroying all of the geneseed research. magnus killed each one of the wolves fighting along side bjorn while taking plasma cannon fire. with bjorns companions killed he and magnus dueled. bjorn scoring wounds on magnus from his cannon and claw before magnus destroyed bjorns weapon arms and immobilized him. magnus hesitated for the killing blow sensing that bjorn was one of the wolves at the burning of prospero when the great wolf at the time (not logan grimnar) conducted a drop pod assault on top of them. magnus took the… Read more »

I agree with those suggesting The BBone take up Orks as his ‘official’ army. Nigel Bigtoof is a perfect example of why 😀 Also, chin-up Mr. Bone — it stings losing games, but you *are* playing against one of the best players in the UK on a regular basis 💪

At a recent tournament, I took my Thousand Sons (With Magnus) and fought against at Grey Knights list and it was easily one of the most fun games I’ve ever had. I am a MASSIVE Thousand Sons fan and the whole battle was SO thematic and cinematic with powers being thrown all over the place and denied and it was an absolute war. Psychic armies are a LOT of fun. Excited to watch this one.

I have a controversial statement and would love your feedback. When Lawrence starts losing he starts mucking around, hiding the miniature on the dice bag etc. I think it’s funny but, intensionally or not he is disrupting the opponent’s concentration. Behind the laughs he’s still waiting, watching for a mistake to pounce on
