Helbrutes are demons 5++ is real is it not? Also, not enough turtles in the battle report… obviously everything is wrong in the world!

    • jamboxdotcom

Unless they changed that in 8th (which I’m 99% sure they didn’t), Helbrutes don’t have a daemon save. You’d kind of think they would, but yeah, pretty sure they don’t (they definitely didn’t in 7th).

      • The B-Bone

I think they should definitely have a Daemon save! Would fit their fluff real nice 🙂

    • John Barber

Helbrutes aren’t actually daemons. Remember that daemonhood is a ‘reward’ and being encased into a helbrute form is actually a punishment as viewed by Chaos legionnaires because no longer will they truly feel glorious combat etc. It’s the corrupting influence of chaos that mutates their armoured shells rather than the conscious thought of an entity.

  • jamboxdotcom

What a fantastic game! Utterly brutal. God, I love 8th edition. It’s completely revitalized the game, despite a few minor gripes.

    • The B-Bone

It was so much fun this one! So cinematic as well!

  • Joshua LeMon

Bone needs to take those dice out back and shoot them.

    • The B-Bone

      Mate… You’re not wrong!

  • David Nicholls

Dude, Guilliman rerolls on wounds too 😉

  • David Nicholls

    +1A warlord trait? BBone 😉

    • The B-Bone

      POWER!!

  • David Nicholls

The last 20-30 minutes of this battle are amazingly bizarre lmao 🙂

    • The B-Bone

      Those bloody chaos Sorcerers …

  • Martin Przybylek

Fantastic Video! and it is not even raining! 😀

    • The B-Bone

Thanks mate! Sometimes we fight in the sun as well haha

  • Muzzatroll

Awesome stuff! Though I’m still not convinced on the viability of Intercessor Squads over Tactical Squads.

What an absolute boss Bobby G was!

Codex and cards ordered from Element Games! 🙂

    • The B-Bone

      BOSH!!

  • John Barber

    Rofl that seize result. 😀

Bone, did you actually forget to charge with those jump units (sorry I can’t for the life of me remember their names; Inteceptors?) when they arrived, or just didn’t want too? I ask because I just figure they’d still be good at smashing apart cultists at the very least (I’m fairly sure the bog standard option of them is merely 50 points for 10 of em), and they could always disengage at will anyway.

Wow Ultramarine chapter tactic of potentially retaining command points on spent strategems is fantastic. Awesome even. It kinda blows the Black Templar one out of the water imo, which reminds me; do the chapters in the codex have their own mini selection of strategems as well? I.e., Salamanders have their own little strategems etc, etc?

    • The B-Bone

Hey mate, I can’t quite remember why I didn’t charge them? I may have had a reason at the time, or perhaps I did for get haha and yes there are chapter specific stratagems ! Pretty sweet 🙂

  • Ruben Knab

First BatRep I’ve watched in a while, but it’s been great once again 🙂

    • The B-Bone

      Thanks mate!

  • Andrew Carter

That was a good game. I’m not particularly a fan of space marines but it was interesting to see the changes from the index to the codex and what it could mean for other armies, I rather like that many of these abilities soom good but not overpowered.

    • The B-Bone

Agreed they had some nice flavour but don’t break anything

  • awsmsrc

@benjaminbonar:disqus did they remove the re roll to wound for ultramarines around roboute? only halfway through but you’re definitely not doing that on some rolls

    • awsmsrc

also on spoils of war can you steal “defend objective x” I thought it was only “‘secure’ objective x”

      • The B-Bone

I think you are right there, well know for next time 🙂

        • awsmsrc

im not complaining that looked like a super fun game… exactly what im in the hobby for! You guys got any more events or tournaments lined up. Im 1-0 against ttt but that was the colonol at Prague so…

          • The B-Bone

All good mate, it’s good getting feed back it’s how we improve! Glad you liked it. Lawrence and the gang are off to Gibraltar soon , I’m not sure other than that

    • The B-Bone

      I catch this later 🙂

  • tulio wolford

I feel that tactics are absolutely gone in this edition. You almost NEVER get cover anymore even when shooting through buildings, the fact that every vehicle can fire out of any side no matter what direction they are pointing takes away all tactics. Every marine army in tournaments these days are all Guilliman bubbles its sick. I have watched all of TTT battle reports and played a few myself and now all you do is move towards each other and fire and fight until everything is dead. No flanking, no using cover, no using firing angles etc. I have loved this game for 20 years but it has become terrible. Not to say I don’t love the Battle Reports Lawrence because they are top notch, I just no longer enjoy the game. Sad really. Perhaps you guys could use some house rules for cover or something to make it a little more interesting.

    • Dantioch

I have to fully agree. Been playing for more than 17 years and this Edition is the worst, if you look at it rule wise. Just advance or stay back and shoot everything. I am happy that at least 30k has the 7th Edition rules in place, question is for how long. The BR was awesome as always, which is thanks to the guys from TTT.
